Globe Charter School

GLOBE welcomes parent involvement and asks that each family volunteer 2 hours a month per child. Research shows that students whose parents are involved in their education generally are more successful in school and in life.

Please visit the school office any time and stay in touch with your child's teacher for volunteer opportunities. There are many ways to fulfill volunteer requirements such as different committees, being a board member, classroom help,  driving for fieldtrips , by coming to the village assemblies. We also schedule workdays throughout the year to fulfill volunteer requirements for families that work during the week.

GLOBE Charter School does require all volunteers to register as a volunteer with District 11 volunteer services. If you are driving students or going on overnight field trips we do require volunteers to go through a complete back ground check with District 11.  You can pick up information for the background check in the school office.  

We also welcome community participation, including donations of time, money, materials and expertise.

Parent involvement is always welcome. Here are a few ways you can participate in your child's school, but be creative in offering your time and talents to assist in the learning of our students.

• Classroom volunteer
• Serve on the school board
• Serve on one of the School Committee's
• Drive on field trips
• Help with special classroom projects
• Do a talk on your travels, job, hobby, etc.
• Decorate for events
• Help with reading, writing, math, science, computers, history projects
• Organize a class party
• Help with school performances
• Help on clean up days
• Do work outside school hours: make copies, shop for supplies, assemble party favors, make costumes
• Attend the Village Assemblies

These labels are found on participating items commonly found at the supermarket. A list of these items will be sent home with your child.
